Hotel Features

Artisanal Spaces

Artwork, ceramics and furniture created by talented Bay Area artists and designers reflect and enrich Hotel Healdsburg’s connection to the natural beauty of Sonoma wine country.

Wade Hoefer

Healdsburg-based artist Wade Hoefer has created original sky, cloud and landscape paintings unique to each room and for the hotel’s grand lobby. Wade’s studio gallery is located within the hotel shops.

Jered Nelson

Ceramic cups and plates custom-made by Jered Nelson of Jered’s Pottery in Richmond for Hotel Healdsburg’s guest rooms, put California clay directly into guests’ hands. Each piece is hand-thrown and finished with a soft blue glaze, resulting in organic, original pieces that speak to a different kind of wine country terroir.

Brit Epperson and Barret Karber

Siblings Brit Epperson and Barret Karber, both with David Baker Architects of San Francisco, designed and fabricated the bedframes and the long low dressers in the guest rooms. The variegated grain of native ancient bay laurel trees, salvaged by Evan Shively of West Marin’s Arborica, lends to the pieces depth of character and expresses the natural beauty of northern California.
